There have been large demonstrations in the German city of Cologne, where even more women have now laid complaints related to assaults on New Year's Eve.
There have been two rival demonstrations, one in support of migrants and asylum seekers, and the other calling for an end to the country's open door policy.
The number of women making allegations after a night of sex attacks and thefts in the city is now 379.
Most said the perpetrators were migrants from North Africa.
German Chancellor Angela Merkel has been forced onto the front foot, saying migrants and asylum seekers are welcome...provided they're willing to integrate into the German way of life.
"That's why we talk about binding, integration agreements. If it comes to criminal activity and if people act outside the law, naturally there must be consequences on their state of asylum and their applications."
Police have used water cannons to disperse big crowds in the German city.
