In a blow for the two members of the Bali Nine on death row in Bali, Indonesian President Joko Widodo has ruled out granting clemency to convicted drug traffickers sentenced to death.

Australians Andrew Chan and Myuran Sukumaran have had a clemency request before the president for more than two years.

Joko has ordered authorities to take strong and firm action against drug traffickers.

68 people are on death row for drug offences.
