Bill Shorten has been re-elected as Labor leader after no other contender put their name forward for the position.
Chief opposition whip Chris Hayes says Mr Shorten's was the only name when nominations closed last night.
He says the nomination was accepted and Mr Shorten has been officially declared leader of the Federal Parliamentary Labor Party.
