British and American forces in Afghanistan have handed over control of key bases to Afghan troops.
The Union Jack has been lowered at Camp Bastion, and the US flag is down at the adjacent Camp Leatherneck, the last American Marine base in the country.
All NATO combat troops will depart Afghanistan by December, leaving Afghan troops and police to battle Taliban insurgents on their own.
