Two months on from being battered by Easter storms, a number of homes in Greymouth are still being repaired.
Over sixty roofs were blown off in the storm and official insurance figures show nationwide the storm cost close to $46 million.
Grey District Mayor Tony Kokshoorn says Coasters by nature are pretty resilient so they've just had to get on with things.
"Most of the roves now are fixed but there are still a lot of rooves that aren't on and those houses now have got a lot of water damage as well, so we've condemned those houses."
Mr Kokshoorn says the majority of people living in condemned houses were insured and have been re-homed.
