Joelle King has secured revenge over a leading Egyptian squash player to secure a place in the final of New York's Carol Weymuller Open.
Ranked 10th in the world, New Zealander King toppled third-ranked Raneem El Welily 11-6, 3-11, 11-9, 14-12 in an hour-long semi-final battle.
King dropped her first set of the tournament but held her nerve to avenge this month's loss to El Welily in the semi-finals of the US Open.
El Welily had won all eight previous meetings with King.
The Waikato-based fifth seed will meet another Egyptian, world No.1 Nour El Sherbini, in the final on Tuesday (NZT).
Both players have dropped just one set each on their path to the decider.
"I'm just excited to be testing myself and winning against these top girls again - it's like Egypt versus the rest of the world, really," King said.
"I'm feeling really good at the moment.
"These girls are in the top five for a reason - I'll definitely have to be on my A-game (and) I'm looking forward to playing her in a final."
King notched two straight set wins in her earlier matches, including a quarter- final upset of Hong Kong fourth seed Annie Au.
Her form in the United States continues a fine start to the PSA season.
She was a semi-finalist at last month's China Open - where she was beaten by El Sherbini - and runner-up at the Macau Open.
