Hundreds have turned out in Christchurch today to celebrate the Crusader’s ninth Super Rugby title.

Despite rainy weather striking city shortly before the parade's kick off, many fans turned out in their red and black to celebrate the team’s victory over the Lions this weekend.

The team arrived by tram at to The Terraces, before crossing the Bridge of Remembrance and addressing the crowd.

Crowds line the streets waiting to see the team.

Along the way, players signed shirts and posed for photos with fans.

It is the ninth time that the Christchurch-based team have won the Super Rugby title, and this is their third back-to-back victory, having won last year’s season as well.

It was a day of double celebration for many of the players, with nine named as part of the All Black’s squad for the upcoming Rugby Championship.
