The All Blacks are encouraging Kiwis to get vaccinated, in a video on their social media this afternoon.  

TJ Perenara kicked off the post saying “we know everyone is doing it tough at home and our thoughts are with you all.”  

Brad Weber then encouraged everyone to get vaccinated “to protect yourselves and others.” George Bridge added his support saying “we’ve all had our two doses.”  

But it was Patrick Tuipulotu’s emotive appeal that sealed the deal “I’m not doing it for just me” he said “I’m doing it for the people around me, to keep everyone safe.” 

Reception to the post was mixed with one user saying “stick to playing rugby guys” and another suggesting “they are only saying this to get out of the question of why they are travelling whilst the rest of cannot.” 

Others however, were in full support, one saying “TJ says get vaccinated. I’m going to listen to TJ,” and another saying “good on you for promoting the vaccines.”
