The Samoa Rugby Union will be making a major announcement at a media conference in Auckland on Monday.

Samoan rugby officials and a number of former Manu Samoa playing legends will be in attendance.

It comes amid a ground swell of support for Samoa to host the All Blacks in Apia next year.

The Samoan Prime Minister, who is also chairman of the Rugby Union, has previously said he's received a confirmation letter from NZRU that an historic first test will be played there in July.
