Ron Mark's next mission is finding out whether his use of Defence Force aircraft is out of whack with his predecessors.
The National Party accused the Minister yesterday of diverting Air Force planes and helicopters to Masterton on the taxpayer, to make his own life easier.
But Mark says that was done on military advice and disputes the allegation it's an inappropriate use of Defence assets.

He says this has prompted him to go back and have a look at those past.
Mark says he'll benchmark his activities against previous Cabinet Ministers and see if he's out of line with them, above, below or on a par.
