The race is tighter than ever in the northern Maori electorate of Te Tai Tokerau.
A Maori Television Reid Research poll has Internet Mana co-leader Hone Harawira on 38 percent, just ahead of Labour's Kelvin Davis on 37 percent.
The Maori Party's Te Hira Paenga remains an outlying candidate, on 9.4 percent.
The poll has a margin of error of plus or minus 4.38 percent.
