New Zealand First is calling for drink-driving limits to be raised again.
MP, Darroch Ball says stricter limits, introduced by National in 2014, have failed to lower drink-driving rates or the number of deaths on the roads.
He believes they also target the wrong people and impact rural pubs.
Ball says the vast majority of drivers in fatal drink-driving accidents have been around twice the legal limit.
He says we need to be targeting recidivist, high-level drink drivers – not hard-working Kiwis who have a beer or wine after work.
