UPDATED 11.37am: Labour's new president is determined to leave old problems in the past, and win the next election.
Nigel Haworth has been elected to replace Moira Coatsworth.
He says the party's previously had a problem with navel-gazing, being too caught up with internal politics.
Mr Haworth wants to get back to listening to voters, and keeping the party running well.
"Things like finances, a big focus on getting the policy settings right so that we can be a credible government that comes to power in 2017."
