
Labour's Deputy and Tourism Minister Kelvin Davis will represent this country at George H W Bush's funeral in Washington DC later this week.
Davis arrived in the country last Friday on Air New Zealand's inaugural flight to Chicago and will stay on for the state funeral.
The 94 year old former President died on Saturday, seven months after his wife Barbara died.
His body is being flown from Houston to Washington tomorrow where he'll lie in state until his funeral on Thursday, New Zealand time.
A formal announcement about Davis' attendance is expected tomorrow.
