Confidence and supply - but not a formal coalition.
There's a limit to how closely Jamie Whyte is prepared to work with Winston Peters.
The ACT leader has made his views on New Zealand First clear.
Chasing the Asian vote at the official launch of the party's election campaign yesterday, Dr Whyte says he'd be extremely reluctant to work with Mr Peters.
But he acknowledges New Zealand First is polling an awful lot higher than his party.
"We might have to hold our nose if it came to a situation where maybe Winston was required. That would be very uncomfortable for me, but I guess for the greater good we would go along with it. I would give confidence and supply, but I'm not going to go into a Government with Winston Peters."
