Colin Craig is considering a new bid for Auckland Mayoralty.
The former Conservative Party leader says he's been approached on more than one occasion to run and it's something he's considering.
"Obviously, people keep asking me and it's something you think about."
"I certainly haven't ruled it out - I think it's highly likely there will be a Conservative Party ticket at the local body level."
Mr Craig has previously contested the Auckland mayoralty, placing third behind Len Brown and John Banks in 2010. He won more than 40,000 votes in that contest.
He said if he was Mayor one of the first things he would do is reduce rates.
He recently launched legal action against a trio who he accused of destabilising his leadership of the Conservative Party.
