Serial litigant Graham McCready has presented paperwork at the Auckland District Court proposing an assault charge be laid against the Prime Minister.
The charge relates to the Prime Minister repeatedly pulling the hair of a waitress at an Auckland cafe he frequented.Â
McCready said his two daughters were on his mind when he took the step and says it's important all women feel safe in their workplace.
He says a judge will now determine whether sufficient evidence could be brought to warrant a trial.
McCready has already filed a sexual harassment complaint against John Key with the Human Rights Commission and a code of conduct complaint against two police officers to over the ponytail-pulling incident.
