The Chief High Court Judge Justice Helen Winkelmann has been appointed a Judge of the Court of Appeal.
She became the Chief High Court Judge in 2010.
Justice Geoffrey Venning, a Judge of the High Court in Auckland, has now been appointed the Chief High Court Judge.
The appointments take effect from June.
