The Whangarei District Council is looking at potential options for the empty Z station on Water Street.

The disused building is situated next to the extremely popular growers market, held on a Saturday morning.

Member of the 20/20 Inner City Revitalisation Committee, Stuart Bell says there's a number of options.

"The growers market's been well established there and so if something that compliments their activities that would be great."

Mr Bell says they'll be discussing options at the next committee meeting on Thursday.
