Three Wellington men are tackling pest-infested flats by handing out free traps and rewarding students for kills.
Tait Burge, Claudie Ramsden Bradley and Hugo Reeve have launched Traplordz to help tenants catch rats and mice.
Burge says there's been little support in the past to help young flatters tackle the problem.
"All students know rats...going into the walls. If they're using poison, they'll go into the roof to die and they smell."
Burge says they've already delivered 13 traps and have another 40 ready to go.
