Police are asking Wellingtonians for information to help identify two men who assaulted someone in Aro Valley.

The pair seriously attacked a victim who was walking on Ohiro Rd at 5.40pm on Tuesday.

Police confirmed the two men were unknown to the victim and stole the victim’s phone.

The victim suffered multiple injuries, which required hospital treatment.

Police are currently investigating the aggravated robbery and are asking anyone who has helpful information to call 105 and use the file number 260317/0947.

In particular, police want to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident, captured CCTV footage of the area or saw the two men on Ohiro Rd between 5-6pm on Tuesday.
