A Warkworth man has suffered severe facial injuries when the angle grinder he was using kicked back and hit him in the face.
Westpac Rescue on board paramedic Barry Watkin says the 30-year-old was cutting through some metal when the accident happened.
The patient was flown to Middlemore Hospital, where he's being treated for serious injuries.
