A Waikato intersection is closed following a serious crash.

Police were called to the two-vehicle crash near the Puketaha Rd and Taylor Rd intersection at Gordonton about 1pm.

Both roads are closed near the intersection.

Police said “initial indicators” suggested critical injuries.

“The Serious Crash Unit have been advised and the roads will remain blocked while emergecny services work at the scene.

“Motorists are advised to avoid the area where possible and expect delays.”
