A German tourist charged with dangerous driving after the death of a Leeston woman will be sentenced this afternoon.
Daniel Muller admitted careless use of a vehicle causing death when he appeared in the Christchurch District Court last month.
Witnesses reported the 26-year-old ran through a stop sign, colliding with Stephanie Ellis’ car.
Fire crews cut the 54-year-old from her car, but she later died at the scene.
He was due to be sentenced earlier this month but that was delayed to allow for restorative justice.
He'll be sentenced at 2:15pm.
