State Highway 1 north of Wellington has been partially blocked after a three-vehicle crash.

Police said the northbound and southbound lanes are partially blocked near the Mackays to Peka Peka Expressway because of the incident.

Police were notified about the crash at 3pm, with no injuries reported.

Motorists have been advised to avoid the area because of heavy and slow traffic.

“Please delay your travel or take alternative routes in the area as emergency services work at the scene,” police said.
