The Sunwolves have recorded what will go down in the annals as their most famous win.
The Japanese franchise has run away with a stunning 48-21 win over the Blues in their final round Super Rugby match in Tokyo, after trailing 21-14 at halftime.
The Sunwolves only previous victories have come against the Jaguares and Bulls.
The result means the Melbourne Rebels will finish with the competition's wooden spoon, while the Blues end the season with seven wins from 15 matches and finish 14 points behind the Highlanders in the New Zealand conference.
The Chiefs will now face the Brumbies in Hamilton before the Hurricanes and Crusaders square-off in Wellington tonight.
