Injured wake boarder Brad Smeele is returning to New Zealand after a lengthy stint in rehabilitation in the United States.
The 27-year-old professional sportsman was injured during a training session in Florida three months ago.
His mother Linda is accompanying him home today, and he'll head to the Auckland Spinal Rehabilitation Unit in Otara.
