Shortlist released for New Zealander of the Year

The shortlist is out for the New Zealander of the Year Award.

Anjum Rahman from the Islamic Women's Council is on the list, as is reproductive rights advocate Dame Margaret Sparrow, and Rocket Lab founder Peter Beck.

Also making it into the top 10 is non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma survivor David Downs, vaccinologist Helen Petousis-Harris, and performing arts champion Jennifer Ward-Lealand Te Atamira.

Distinguished professor Jane Harding, litigator Stacey Shortall, social entrepreneur Anne Gaze and journalist Tapu Misa also make the shortlist.

The winner will be announced on February 20.
