Those fighting over the final resting place for James Takamore are heading back to court for mediation.
The 55-year-old's body was snatched from a Christchurch funeral parlour in 2007, and taken back to his birthplace in Bay of Plenty.
Relatives had agreed for Mr Takamore's partner Denise Clarke to exhume his body late last year, but later issued police with a trespass notice.
Denise Clark's lawyer, Gary Knight says a judge will now visit both parties before a yet to be scheduled mediation.
