Police investigating the death of a 15-year-old boy in an IHC support centre have reviewed their initial case and charged a 27-year-old Palmerston North woman with manslaughter.
Nathan Booker died in Palmerston North Hospital after being found drowned in a bath at the Woburn Family Support Centre last January.
The 27-year-old woman appeared in court today.
Central Districts Crime Manager Detective Inspector Marc Hercock says they want to get closure for Nathan's family.
"We've had some legal advice and having done that and looked at a re-investigation, we now have sufficient to put the matter before the court."
