A home dialysis patient in Auckland says Vector's brushed off concerns about his medical condition.

11 days without power meant Laurence O'Connor has had to go to hospital every second day to be treated kidney issues.

Vector claims to have restored power last night and Mr O'Connor will return home this morning to find out for certain.

He says Vector has told him three times his power's restored - when it's not.

"They didn't really listen when we said there was a medical condition, it was a real hassle booking a dialysis unit."

Mr O'Connor says he's fed up with the poor communication and incorrect information.

"When I was ringing up I was in hospital dialysing. I just found it frustrating because I've got to do it, other wise I die."

Vector could not confirm what caused the delay.
