A poll is suggesting most adults would like to stay in isolation after Alert Level 4 restrictions are lifted.

According to a Horizon poll, 12 per cent say they'd definitely stay in isolation -- while 45 per cent say they'd most likely stay in isolation.

Respondents were asked whether they still want to stay at home to protect themselves from the Coronavirus -- if Level 4 restrictions are eased.

Horizon Research Manager Grant McInman says it may have implications for businesses.

"While they may eventually have tried to make temporary arrangements for their staff to work from home, some of those people may not want to return to their place of work in the short term."

There is also strong support for handing over mobile data to authorities to aid in the fight against Covid-19.

Horizon Research asked people if they were to contract Covid-19, would they provide their mobile data to Police to help them trace those they have been in contact with.

McInman says 73 percent of respondents, from a survey of 1,267, strongly supported the idea.

"We were actually quite surprised. We thought there would be more resistance."
