Police cordon off Queenstown address after suspected fatal balcony fall

Police have cordoned off a Queenstown address after a suspected balcony fall this morning.

Emergency services were called to a Kent St address about 7.30am.

“While inquiries will be made, at this stage, police believe the death is not suspicious,” police confirmed in a statement to the Herald.

“The matter will also be referred to the Coroner.”

It’s understood that police believe, at this stage, it has been a fatal balcony fall.

Multiple police vehicles, including two detectives, attended along with Fire and Emergency New Zealand and Hato Hone St John.

St John said their assistance was not required and referred media enquiries to police.
