Police are appealing for more information about an Auckland man killed on Hunua Road, in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Myron Strang, 43, was lying on the unlit rural road when he was run over, and killed.

Police say a woman was in the area at the time, but waved down another motorist, and asked them to drop her at Valentine Street in Papakura.

Serious Crash Investigator Constable Hollie Given says they want to speak to this woman, as she may have valuable information.
