Emergency services have rushed to an Auckland mountain biking destination after an incident left one person seriously injured.
Hato Hone St John confirmed it sent an ambulance, a rapid response unit and a helicopter to Woodhill Forest, Muriwai, today.
One patient was airlifted to Middlemore Hospital with serious injuries, a Hato Hone St John spokeswoman said.

Only one person was injured in the incident, which involved a bike in the forest.
Woodhill Forest has 50km of tracks and is located 40 minutes from downtown Auckland.
Tourism New Zealand describes it as “the most popular mountain biking destination in the Auckland region”.
“The trails are mostly narrow, flowing single tracks on a sandy base that is good to ride, even after rain. There is also a jumps park near the carpark, and over 200 man-made structures throughout the network of single tracks. All the trails are well marked, and weave through the forest,” the Tourism New Zealand website states.
Last year, a mountain bike rider at the park died after falling off their bike.
A police spokesman said at the time emergency services tried treating the rider for their injuries but they died at the scene.
