Firefighters are battling a “well-involved” house fire in South Auckland.
A Fire and Emergency New Zealand spokesperson told the Herald they received multiple calls that alerted them to the blaze in Papatoetoe about 1pm.
On crews’ arrival, the fire in the single-storey home was “well-involved”, the spokesperson said.
Two fire trucks are currently in attendance and a fire investigator is on the way, Fire and Emergency said.
There were no reports of injuries or people trapped in the home.
The spokesperson said firefighters have yet to extinguish or contain the fire.
Papatoetoe North School posted to Facebook to let parents know its school was not affected.
