250 kilos of beef and pork mince sold from Pak n Save Glen Innes is being recalled after a staff member dropped their mobile phone into a mincer.

The product was packed two days ago, and Foodstuffs says it was contrary to approved protocols.

A Foodstuffs spokesperson says the team responsible will be re-trained to ensure that such an event doesn't occur in the future.

MPI has issued a recall due to the presence of glass, plastic and metal in the mince.
