A 100-year-old notebook found in Antarctica is another clue to Captains Scott's last expedition to the ice.

The notebook belonged to a member of his ill-fated 1910 expedition and was found at Cape Evans, outside the British explorers 1911 Terra Nova Base.

It was hidden for over 100 years before melted ice revealed it to the New Zealand Antarctic heritage Trust in January last year.

It came to New Zealand in 2014 for repair and has since returned to Antarctica as one of 11,000 artefacts at Cape Evans.
