Ngati Kahungunu will be holding a series of hui to hear views on water rights and interests.

The series of 'Water Rights and Interests Hui' will take place in October and November on how to keep coastlines and waterways protected.

An update will be given on their freshwater claim to the Waitangi Tribunal and further work underway.

The first hui will be held on October 22 at Heretaunga Taiwhenua in Hastings.
