Customers around the country have been having connection problems, which began last night.

Spark says it's been caused by a few customers infected by malware, which overloads the system by creating the impression of a high volume of internet traffic.

The failure isn't affecting everyone, and for some people connections will come and go.

The company says it's working on monitoring and blocking the malware, which has come from overseas.
