A man is in a critical condition after falling 10m from a University of Otago building in Dunedin.
Emergency services were called to an incident at the University of Otago’s Centre for Innovation building near the intersection of Cumberland and Saint Davids streets at around 12.10am.
Hato Hone St John said they responded with an ambulance and transported one patient in a critical condition to hospital.

The area has been cordoned off this morning.

University of Otago and the police have been approached for comment.
It comes a day after a person fell from height off Christchurch’s central city Tūranga library.
One person was taken to Christchurch Hospital in a critical condition.
Last year, a University of Otago student and rising rugby star nearly died after a horrific fall from a student flat roof.
Jayden Broome, 19, suffered critical injuries on September 9 after slipping from the roof of the two-storey Castle St flat known as “Big Red” while celebrating his birthday with friends, bouncing off a wheelie bin before hitting the concrete footpath below.
