Chilling footage has captured the moment a man entered an Auckland PakānSave holding a large knife.
The video was filmed at a supermarket on the North Shore this morning.
Police said they received reports of a man with a knife allegedly threatening security at a commercial premises on Wairau Rd about 10am.
Footage posted on TikTok by a nearby shopper showed the man leaving the Wairau PakānSave and walking into the carpark.
He is seen yelling as he waves the knife around in the air. It is unclear what the man is saying.
As the man walks, he appears to wave the knife at people in the store.
A security guard then shooed the man away as he held on to a shopping cart.
Shoppers with young children are seen just metres away from the incident.
