Some Auckland library lovers will have to go without, with 15 of the Super City's libraries to close between Christmas and New Year.
Local Boards have confirmed which libraries will be open during those four days.
All 55 libraries across the Auckland Council network will close at the normal time on Christmas Eve and reopen on January 4th.
But due to lower demand for library services during the festive season, some will close over the days in between.
Libraries to close between Christmas and New Year: Avondale, Blockhouse Bay, Clendon, Glenfield, Helensville, Kumeu, Mahurangi East, Manurewa, Northcote, Ōtara, Panmure, Ranui, Te Atatu Peninsula, Waiuku and Wellsford.
Additionally, three libraries will partially close during that period – Panmure on December 28th and 29th, Glen Innes on December 30th and 31st, and Albany on December 31st.
Botany library will be open throughout the holidays with hours aligned to the Botany Town Centre shopping centre hours; it will only be closed on Christmas Day.
Ōtāhuhu, Devonport and Waiheke libraries will be open with extended hours so that Ōtāhuhu’s hours align with the recreation and leisure centre and Devonport and Waiheke can accommodate the summer influx of customers.
