Emergency services have rushed to a blaze in the West Auckland suburb of Massey.
The fire broke out at Sunline Ave about 7.30pm.
Photos from the scene show both Fire and Emergency New Zealand and police responding.
A Herald reporter on the scene said three fire trucks were attending while huge black smoke could be seen from as far as Henderson.
Dozens of residents are outside, and firefighters are telling them to move back due to the strong smell of smoke.

One resident told the Herald she was in the middle of her evening prayer when she heard a “huge boom” from outside.
“I was sitting next to the window in the kitchen and the sound shocked me. I opened my eyes and looked outside, only to see flames shooting up to the sky and black smoke,” she said.
“My neighbour ran over to check if I was okay and she said she was about to call the Fire Service.”
Another resident told the Herald the fire started around 7.40pm or shortly after 7.30pm.
More to come.
