Classic Kiwi picture books are topping Whitcoulls Kids Top 50 list.
JK Rowling's Harry Potter series heads the list, and is followed closely by the long-time Kiwi-favourites Hairy Maclary and Friends and The Very Hungry Caterpillar
Head buyer Joan MacKenzie says a third of the books on the list are children's picture books.
She adds it's wonderful to see kids are still reading.
