The interim decisions on the IPENZ disciplinary hearing of controversial EQC engineer Graeme Robinson, shouldn't have been publicly released.

That's the message from the Institution of Professional Engineers in the wake of the leaked initial decisions.

The 11 complainants against the senior engineer have received their confidential copies.

Graeme Robinson's defending complaints of incompetence and negligence from Canterbury homeowners as part of the 2000 assessments he completed for the Earthquake Commission.

Interim CEO Kieran Devine says while the interim decision's been sent out, it wasn't meant for public eyes.
