Teenagers dressed in emerald and calling themselves the Green Gang are threatening high school students in east Auckland, telling one mother her son was going to die.
Most recently a small group of youths waited with wrenches hidden up their sleeves for a Pakuranga College student.
Fortunately, the girl was intercepted by another student and taken to school officials who notified the community constable
Board of Trustees chairman Trevor Middleton says there's been multiple instances involving the green gang this year which have been referred to the police.
He says they involved a small numbers of individuals and the school is aware of who they are.
Mr Middleton says there is always a concern when things like this happen.
