A 12-year-old girl injured after a Shotover Jet boat crashed at the weekend has now been discharged from hospital.

She suffered back injuries in the incident on Saturday, but was released earlier today.

Manager Clark Scott says there's currently no obvious reason for the crash, but investigations are only in their early stages and they're determined to get to the bottom of it.

He says they understand the girl is doing well, and they'll continue to provide whatever support she and her family needs.
