The Cromwell community's reeling after the loss of one of its brightest young stars.

Rachel Clark was found dead in her home around 5.30 on Saturday night.

The death of the 17-year-old Head Girl of Cromwell College has been ruled as a 'medical event' and referred to the Coroner - police say it wasn't suspicious.

Her employer at Golden Gate Lodge, Glen Christiansen says she'll be hugely missed.

He says Rachel Clark lit up every room she walked into.
