Friends of comedian Jon Gadsby are tonight using social media to post the sad news of his death.
Peter Rowley says on his Facebook Page that he had known Mr Gadsby for 48 years, calling him such a talent and a powerful spirit.
Dave Ward says Mr Gadsby helped us to laugh at ourselves.
Mr Gadsby said several months ago that he had been diagnosed with cancer.
